How did you meet? Tell us your story:
Elliot and I met when we were just littles… we were so young, in fact, that we don’t actually remember the first time our paths crossed. Our families were assigned to the same base overseas, so we grew up in the same community.
What do you love most about eachother?
What I love the most about Elliot is his aptitude for grace. Elliot is a peacekeeper and truly values harmony; he is quick to forgive and has taught me an immeasurable amount about the importance of being kind and soft towards others. Elliot said what he values most about me is my drive to succeed. He feels fortunate (most of the time, anyway!) to have married someone who expects excellence from him and pushes him to reach outside of his comfort zone.
What have you learned in your years of marriage?
We could write a book! We’ve learned so much in our four years of marriage, but I think the single most important lesson for us both has been this: the desire for love and purpose that we all experience as humans cannot be fully satisfied by another human; we were designed to long for and pursue a love much greater than any our spouse could offer. Christ’s love is the only love that is rich enough and pure enough to “complete” us.
