How did you two meet? Tell us your story.
I was a working college student and he was just back from a church mission. We met at a little church dance in our neighborhood and he walked me home after it ended. The next day, he took me for a ride on our friend’s motorcycle, and down the road to his sister’s place for a slice of pumpkin pie. It seemed like we had a lot to talk about. We began dating and kept on talking. Some months later, we got engaged.
What we love most about each other?
Hmmmmmm. It’s great to share the same major goals and convictions, to know your sweetheart totally trusts you & you solidly trust in him. Its wonderful to me that my husband has integrity. We each want the best for the other. And it doesn’t hurt to enjoy the same lifestyle, then throw in some fun, laughs & maybe surprises.
What have you learned in your years of marriage?
Well, that’s a big question. We’ve learned that it’s good to keep our mouths closed a lot of the time. There is so much stuff that just doesn’t matter. Then, take a look at the positives cause there’s plenty there. Be thankful everyday. Patience with one another and with life is paramount. If it’s to be, it’s up to me. Don’t expect the other guy to change. The only person you have any control over is yourself. And don’t set your heart upon the things of the world. We need to have faith in our partner, remembering God isn’t finished with either of us yet. Trust The Lord.
