We asked them:
How did you two meet, tell us your story:
We met on New Years Eve 2010. We were both out and happened to bump into each other and starting talking. We realized that we had some friends in common and he took my number saying we would hang out sometime. Somehow by the end of the night I was the only person around he “knew”, and he may have had needed a little help, so I called his friend and helped him get home. He ended up calling me 2 days later and as they say, the rest is history!
Describe the proposal:
To start, we had recently picked out the ring and were told that because of a large storm up north, there was no way the setting would be able to be shipped to Florida for my birthday….which of course was when I was set on being engaged by. We went out with friends for my birthday the night before and had a great time and I completely got over the fact that things weren’t quite going along with my personal timeline. It was the night of my birthday and we went to my parents house for dinner. Caleb had mentioned wanting to drive his truck out west and spend some time just laying in the bed of the truck and watching stars. He can be petty romantic sometimes so I didn’t think much of it, and by the time dinner was over I was pretty tired and just wanted to get home. I asked if it was ok if we skipped the star watching and he hesitated a little but said that was fine. As we were diving he veered off to take the scenic route home but when he got to the lighthouse, he pulled off and parked the car. I again thought he was being romantic and I was still tired but I went along with it because he is sweet and I appreciate the thought. And then in what felt like a split second he was helping me out of the truck, down on one knee holding my beautiful ring and asked me to be his wife!
What do you love most about each other?
Anne: I love how genuine and solid Caleb is. He loved to have fun but he is also unshakeable when it comes to the things that are truly important to him.
Caleb: I love our passion for adventure and trying to enjoy the most that life together can possibly bring us.
What part of marriage you are most looking forward to?
Anne: Knowing that for the rest of my life he will be by my side and knowing how much better everything I experience will be because he will be there to experience it with me.
Caleb: I have always been looking for the woman that I can enjoy sharing my life with and I am looking forward to doing that with Anne!
