From the photographer, Brian Evans.

“What do you do when you are asked to photograph a pair of photographers you really admire? First you have a small panic attack. Once you move past panic, you feel a sense of honor, which cannot be described. In this case the photographers, Sammy and Natalia Cosa, happen to be the amazing husband and wife team who captured our wedding day! Since our wedding, Sammy has taken me under his wing and become a mentor and great friend. Working with him has been awesome… he and his family are truly inspirational.

Sammy and Natalia have two beautiful daughter snamed Saylah and Audrey (at the time of the photo shoot, Audrey had not yet been born). They wanted the session to be a “day in the life” of their growing family. To truly represent their family, they also wanted it centered on their favorite part of the day… breakfast.

The Cosas do breakfast right! Natalia is a barista master and makes one of the best lattes I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. Sammy makes eggs like nobody’s business, and Saylah is a pancake mixing champ. The life of a photographer can be a bit hectic at times, but it’s great to see a family take the time to enjoy each other’s company around the kitchen table. The rest of the morning was spent following this beautiful family around their home capturing the fun and love they share. Saylah has one of those smiles and laughs that lights up a room, which made my job easy and entertaining. They will soon welcome their new addition into this world and I am beyond happy for them. Photographing this family was an amazing way to spend the morning and I thank them very much for the opportunity.”

We asked the Cosas:

What’s your best family memory?

Welcoming our 2 beautiful daughters into the world. Nothing compares.

What’s your favorite thing to do as a family?

Spend time with sand in our toes at the beach and going to local cafes – trying to enjoy warm lattes while also trying to make sure our daughters aren’t getting into trouble!

What is your favorite family tradition?

Thursday Beach Days and Saturday morning breakfasts in Downtown Fullerton.

What’s the best thing about your family?

That there is never a dull moment. Both our daughters are at such unique stages in their lives and we are enjoying every second!

What do you think makes a happy family?

TIME. Patience. And most of all: LOVE.

What three words best describe your family?

Beach Bums. Lovers. Fun!
