How did you two meet? Tell us your story.
We met in the Polynesian Cultural Center Tahitian Village for the first time. It was around June 2011, he came with a group of school kids. We were introduced by a mutual friend who wanted us to meet. We just said hi and that was it. Nelson was a very shy person. Our friend did mention that Nelson was coming to BYUH (which is where I was also going to school) that Fall. That’s how we met the first time, no word else said. Of course, after that, we were going to the same school, working in the same place, hanging out with the same friends. Then, Fall Ball changed everything. We found each other and thought we pretty good looking. And this is how the fire started.
What do you love most about each other?
Rehei: I love how Nelson is down to Earth, so kind to people, a gentleman which is hard to finw nowadays (opens the doors to all ladies), and his love for kids (so cute).
Nelson: I love her love for me (lol) I love her personality: her strong character, she knows what she wants and her leadership.
What have you learned in your year of marriage?
We’ve learned that patience is an understatement! (looool) That marriage is not easy but it is possible to have a successful marriage.
